John Childers, Pvt. Co. A, 37th NC Troops CSA
John Childers enlisted at Liberty Mills, VA on March 11, 1864. He was present until surrendering at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865. Private Childers is buried in the Jackson Testerman cemetery in Ashe County NC. He is the son of James Franklin Childers, brother to Calvin.
